Fire Department

The City of LeRoy Fire Department's mission is to protect and enhance the quality of life for all citizens and visitors from the adverse effects of natural and man-made emergencies.

Our goal is to provide a protection program through a cost-efficient approach to emergency response, fire code application and public fire education.

The City of LeRoy has a volunteer fire department with 24 members. Officers include the fire chief, captain, lieutenant, fire marshall/civil defense director, and training officer. The department has two pumper trucks, three tanker trucks, and two grass rigs. They also have hydraulic extrication tools to assist with motor vehicle accidents.

The LeRoy Area Ambulance Service is staffed by volunteer emergency medical technicians (EMT's). The service has two basic life support ambulances.  Advanced life support services are accessible through the local ambulance service to Gold Cross, Mayo One, or Mercy Medical Air.  Visit their webpage for more information.
