13th Annual L.A.M.A. Luau

The 13th Annual L.A.M.A. Luau was held on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at the LeRoy Community Center. The Luau featured a chili cookoff, soup cookoff, and dessert cookoff. Congratulations to Dianne Ahrens for her winning chili, to Pat Utz for her winning soup, and to Dianne Ahrens for her winning dessert. Dianne's Can Can Chili, Dianne's Avene's Potato Soup, and Mitchell Frazer's Chocolate Turtle Cake won the People's Choice awards. Thank you to everyone that came and enjoyed the chili, soups, and desserts; Thank you to everyone that donated items for the Bucket Raffle; Thank you for your donations to the LeRoy Area Food Shelf. The LeRoy Area Ministerial Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit.
LeRoy's First Christmas Party

LeRoy's 1st Christmas Party on Friday, December 15, 2023, was a huge success!! There was caroling around the fire, hot chocolate, and S'mores! Horse drawn wagon rides with the Hanson Horse Ranch, sponsored by the LeRoy Commercial Club, were great fun. Santa and the Grinch both made appearances. Thank you to the businesses that stayed open late to add to the ambiance of the evening. Plans are already underway for LeRoy's 2nd Christmas Party in December, 2024.

Basket Social

The LeRoy Commercial Club held their annual Basket Social on Friday, June 2, 2023. 56 baskets were donated. Thank you to everyone who attended the Basket Social, to those that bid on the baskets, to Auctioneer Tom Jasper for his auctioneering services, and to Dan Evans for chairing this event. Proceeds from the Basket Social will be used for Summer Fest and other community events.
LeRoy Farmers Market

With regrets, the LeRoy Farmers Market will not be held this year due to not having any vendors to supply their produce and products. The LeRoy Farmers Market committee may consider offering special markets this season if vendors are willing to participate. Please call 507-438-0553 if you would like to be a vendor. There is no charge to be a vendor.
A Golden Fleecing

The LeRoy Community Theater performed "A Golden Fleecing" -A Melodrama- The play is a melodrama taking place in 1870 in northern California when people were looking for gold. There is a heroine, hero, villain, and other crazy characters that will surely get you laughing. The LeRoy Community Theater performers did an excellent job. Many laughs, plot twists, and great food was enjoyed by all that attended. This Melodrama was produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, Inc., Englewood, Colorado.

A 94-year old World War II veteran who quietly amassed a small fortune by living a modest lifestyle surprised everyone in the small town of LeRoy, MN, when he passed away recently. Loren Krueger bequeathed $3 million to various groups in his will, but only his lawyer knew about the gifts in advance. Watch the video:
